The location was perfect, with free parking right in front. The staff were friendly and helpful, providing excellent service. Our room was clean, quiet, and adequate for our needs. Breakfast offered a good variety, though there was some disappointment regarding the full English option being unavailable for indirect bookings, which lacked transparency.

Couple retreat, worth it
Had a fantastic evening meal downstairs, they surprised us with a box of chocolates and Prosecco for our anniversary. The double bed was so comfy, I didn’t want to leave it in the morning.
It wasn't cheap, but for an anniversary, it was still acceptable.

comfortable but lacks character
The bed was very comfy and offered a great night’s sleep. I appreciated the well equipped amenities, including coffee, tea, and biscuits.
The overall decor felt a bit bland and generic.

Had an awesome time with friends! The location was perfect for exploring nearby attractions like the Royal Hall Theatre, just a short drive away. The staff were super friendly, and we appreciated being able to park our bikes in the secure beer garden. Great food and drink options made our stay even better.
The only downside was the double bed's footboard—it wasn't the best for tall people like me. But it was comfortable nonetheless.

Couples looking for a cozy spot should check this out
The food was exceptional I had a lovely quiche when I requested something non-meat and the red wine was pure gold. The staff were so friendly, instantly made me feel at home and the complimentary tea choices were abundant.
It wasn’t exactly cheap but the experience was still worth it.

We had a lovely stay at this charming place! The atmosphere was inviting with a roaring log burner in the pub. The whole family enjoyed the delicious meals served, and room 4 was spacious, spotlessly clean, and provided a fantastic view overlooking the square.
My kids wished for more entertainment options nearby.

Charming decor throughout creates a warm atmosphere, drawing you in from the moment you step inside. The spacious Standard Double Room offers cozy seating areas and unique historical touches that enhance the overall experience.
Disappointed to find the bed could use a replacement, as I felt the springs poking through the mattress-definitely affects a good night’s sleep. The kettle's short lead made it awkward to fill, a simple fix that would make things a lot easier. While the breakfast included some hot options, it didn’t exactly meet my expectations for a filling morning meal.

A pleasant experience overall, with a cozy room and a lovely view of the market square. The staff were very accommodating and friendly, although the breakfast could have been better advertised as it was mainly continental. Free parking was a bonus and the food at the pub looked fantastic.

A Charming Escape with Unforgettable Memories
Our two-night stay was delightful! The standard double room featured cozy decor and stunning views. The friendly bartender made us feel at home, suggesting local dishes at the on-site restaurant. Be sure to try the steak—just request your preference for doneness!
